Craniosacral Therapy Level 1 - Basic
The Craniosacral Level 1 to the basics is designed to introduce the participants to a standard protocol based on the work of William Garner Sutherland, D.O. It is a four-day class consisting of lectures, demonstrations, and supervised practice sessions throughout each day. This class is designed to work with people seven (7) years of age and older.
Day One: Evaluative technique of the CranioSacral Rhythm (CSR), Dr. Sutherland’s model of the Primary Respiratory Mechanism, V-spread technique and the Stillpoint technique.
Day Two: Concepts of fascia, Diaphragm technique and the Dural Tube techniques.
Day Three: Concepts of Intracranial membranes, Techniques of Frontal, Parietal, Sphenoid and Temporal bones.
Day Four: Dural tube techniques, TMJ (temporal mandibular joint) tecniques, demonstration by the instructor of the complete protocol and receive a complete protocol.
CST1 follows a simple format with each technique building upon the next in a very linear fashion. Participants will come away from the class with a ready to use protocol for their own practice. Therapists in the field, who already have very successful practices, will find this work to be a nice complement to their own style of bodywork.
